Managing Stress in Social Work - Training Course

About This Course
This foundation programme is aimed at introducing delegates to some of the concepts and theories of stress and its impact on both our professional and personal lives.

It is becoming widely recognised that social work is becoming more demanding for practitioners, ranging from high volume of work to the complexity and sensitivity of the interactions in sometimes highly charged emotive environments

Stress can be seen in three different ways: as stimulus, cause or a response to interaction between people or objects and the degree of ability they have in coping with that interaction.

The programme uses a creative process to allow delegates to explore how they can positively engage in issues of managing stress.
