‘Intensive Investigation Skills in Healthcare Using Root Cause Analysis’ is designed to provide delegates with the tools and knowledge required to begin leading Root Cause Analysis led investigations.

This course is aimed at senior managers and those who have some experience in investigating Serious Untoward Incidents.
Course Objectives
By the end of the ‘Intensive Investigation Skills in Healthcare Using Root Cause Analysis’ course participants will be able to :
- Describe the six steps involved in an RCA Investigation
- Understand the importance of using Human Factor Analysis in investigations
- Identify incidents and state the information that needs to be collected
- Map and sort information relating to investigations
- Use RCA analysis tools to process information and identify root causes
This course is primarily based around case studies and developing the practical skills required to undertake RCA investigations.
