Course Aim
To refresh and strengthen Level 5 strategic competencies, focusing on safeguarding leadership, statutory responsibilities, system oversight, and organisational assurance for children, young people, and adults at risk.
Explore the underpinning values and culture to enable excellence in safeguarding
- Update and refresh senior leaders with advanced knowledge of statutory safeguarding frameworks, policy obligations, and inter-agency responsibilities for both children and adults.
- Provide an update on new legislation policy, procedures and legal and practice
- Update knowledge on Transitional safeguarding, explore trauma informed approaches/ practice and understanding the impact of adverse childhood experiences and how this should be embedded in organisational safeguarding practice.
- Explore the capability needed to lead multi-agency partnership working, information sharing and escalation processes to achieve timely, proportionate protection outcomes.
-Enable strategic planning for workforce development, resource allocation and trauma-informed practice to support safe, person-centred care and promote long-term safeguarding resilience.
